Altitude Dive

Altitude diving begins when you dive between 300 and 3000 meters/1000 and 10 000 feet above sea level. IfDivers on the Boat you are inland and curios about the goings on in that mountain lake or large fresh water dam, then this speciality course is tailor made for you.

A minimum age of 12yrs and a Padi open water diver or junior open water certification is required for this course.
This 1 day course involving 2 open water dives, will explain the rules and procedures necessary to make use of your Recreation Dive Planner at altitude. Specialised equipment, safety stops and emergency decompression procedures along with dive planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards will also all be thought.

Your altitude diving adventure dive can count towards this speciality at the Instructors discretion. This speciality certification also counts as 1 of 5 speciality certifications required for your Master Scuba Diver certification.

Where?


Unfortuantly we can not run this course at our shops in Cape Town due to a lack of altitude. If you are interested in this course though please contact us and we will refer you to A PADI Dive shop where you can do this course. The course price includes your tution, PADI course materials, PADI registration and dive card but excluding equipment rental, dives and excludes your dive permit.
