South Africa's coast attracts thousands of local and International divers every year to see the amzing underwater world of the Indian Ocean and Atlantic. With its array of beautiful dive sites, from Kelp Forests to reefs, South Africa is rated one of the best dives sites in the world. Where else can you dive wrecks and scuba dive with seals and cow sharks in one day? Our seas are rich in fish species, various line fish, Rock lobster, Abalone, Sardines and Pilchards. One of the eight whale species found in South Africa frequently seen by humans is the Southern right whale. This imposing creature comes into the costal bays to calve, allowing for us to view form the land. For us diving enthusiasts the diving possibilites are endless. the coral reefs with brightly coloured inhabitants that enjoy the warm Indian Ocean, to the many wrecks that struck rocks along the Cape coast. All along the False Bay coastline the marine life in Cape Town is in abundance. Pajama sharks, Leopard catsharks, Puffadder shy sharks. On many dives you will encounter the Cape fur seal, it might not be just a quick glimpse, but more often than not it will join you on your dive, hang around and even imitate your movements. Every rock nook and cranny on the reefs are carpeted by sea anemones of all colours. Feather stars, sponges and the beautiful nudibranchsas well.
